Sodium fluorosilicate is a compound with formula Na2SiF6. Sodium fluorosilicate is made by neutralizing fluorosilicic acid with sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate. This operation is carried out under vigorous agitation, with control of the ration of reagents in order not to simultaneously produce the fluoride by introduction of excess alkali.
