Characteristics of High Purity Lead

High purity lead is some kind of heavy, ductile, soft gray solid. It can soluble in dilute nitric acid, and also can insoluble in water but dissolves slowly in water containing a weak acid. High purity lead resists corrosion and is relatively impenetrable to radiation. It has Poor electrical conductor but it is a  good sound and vibration absorber. In addition, high purity lead is noncombustible.
