Effect of ruscogenin on TNF-α–induced mRNA expression of ICAM-1 in ECV304 cells. As shown in Fig. 3 (A and B), ICAM-1 mRNA was strongly up-regulated after TNF-α incubation (compare lanes 1 and 2 of) and was inhibited by ruscogenin at concentrations of 0.1 and 1 μM in a concentration-dependent manner (compare lanes 2 to 5 of Fig. 3A).
