How to Get Strontium Fluoride?

Strontium fluoride
Strontium fluoride, SrF2, also called strontium difluoride and strontium(II) fluoride, is a fluoride of strontium. It is a stable brittle white crystalline solid with melting point of 1477°C and boiling point 2460°C. Strontium fluoride is a kind of white colorless cubic crystal system crystal powder. It is slightly soluble in water, and it is soluble in hydrochloric acid. But it is insoluble in hydrofluoric acid, ethanol and acetone. It is a cubic crystal system, stable in air, which can be decomposed by strong acids. Its density is 4.24, melting point is 1473 ° C, boiling point is 2489 ° C. When the temperature is > 1000 ° C, strontium fluoride will get into strontium oxide air.
