Description:
Phytine is light yellow slurry liquid, soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, insoluble in anhydrous ether, benzene, hexane, chloroform.
Phytine is used as chelating, antioxidant,antistaling agent, and water softener etc, and it is widely used in food, medicine, painting and chemical industry for daily use.

Phytin is indicated as a stimulating agent; in nervous system diseases (neurosis, impotence), memory weakening, insomnia; loss of appetite; secondary anemia (together with iron containing agents); bone diseases (rachitis, osteomalacia, fractures) in children with diatheses; in the convalescent period after severe diseases.
