   Potassium fluosilicate is white odorless crystals or powder which has weak acidity. It can insoluble in water, aqueous ammonia and ethanol and it also can soluble in hydrochloric acid. It is decomposed by heat to form potassium fluoride(KF) and silicon tetrafluoride(SiF4). Hydrolyze in hot water to form hydrogen fluoride(HF) and silicate acid(H2SiO3). Potassium fluosilicate has poision. Potassium fluorosilicate is a toxic chemical, like all salts of fluorosilicic acid.  It is made of white crystals,which has at least three polymorphs and appears in nature as rare minerals cryptohalite or bararite.
Potassium fluosilicate has a wide use. It is always used for wood preservation, geramics made, metallurgy of aluminium and magnesium, optical glass, and synthetic mica and antisepsis. It must be store at a ventilating, and dry place, keep away from food forsafety.
